Expect Distribution are pleased to announce the launch of our new 2 Man delivery service responding to demand from businesses within the e-retail sector.

Recognising that a growing number of companies are looking for specialised delivery of larger and bulkier items that require handling a 2 man delivery team,  Expect has reacted and developed a 2 Man Delivery Service which opens up opportunities to work with new and existing clients with such specific requirements.

The service will cover every single UK postcode on a weekly basis and it is our aim to also provide new and cost efficient specialised delivery options for some untapped niche industries.

Operations Director, Neil Rushworth, said “The growth of the e-retail sector is huge and we have found that companies now have specific transport requirements which can be business to business, site delivery or residential delivery. They demand a fast efficient service of larger products that a traditional driver only service cannot physically manage.  We have incorporated the new  2 Man Delivery Service into our portfolio to cater for these needs and we will also be providing  excellent customer care backed by trained staff, online services, SMS messaging and Digital Signature Capture offering real-time POD’s.”

To offer this new service Expect Distribution has invested in a brand new fleet of strikingly designed black and red vehicles featuring a new slant on the well-known Expect tumbling X logo.

Each new vehicle is fitted with the latest sat-nav and vehicle tracking technology which provides a quality next day and/or timed delivery service throughout the UK. The new black & red livery has been designed to differentiate the two man fleet from the existing dark blue X designed HGVs currently providing palletised delivery nationwide.

We have recruited 10 new staff to provide this service which brings the total number of employees to 185 over our three sites.  The new 2 Man Delivery  teams will wear the new Expect company clothing and have already undergone a rigorous training programme.  Experienced fully qualified HGV drivers will be assisted by an apprentice working under the Government Apprenticeship scheme, which will make them a qualified driver following an 18 month training plan.

Neil Rushworth added  “The new service demonstrates that Expect Distribution is keen to grow with its customers, tailoring our service to meet their individual needs. The new 2 Man Delivery Service  goes live following many months of development and consultation with potential customers. We did this to ensure we were providing exactly what they required. It’s just another demonstration that Expect is a true market leader in the industry”
